Searching for happiness and adventure both near and far, in the digital and the physical. There are so many places to see and so many things to learn, you better get started.

Bridging design between the physical and digital space

Digital Design

For over two decades I’ve been building and tinkering online. From the early days of Angelfire and GeoCities, to the massively creative era of Macromedia Flash and now deep in the WordPress landscape. This passion (maybe obsession) with the internet has allowed me to steer clear of the corporate rat race and work with some amazing businesses and brands over the years.

Physical Design

I’ve been passionate about building, fixing, designing and re-imagining physical products and spaces for as long as I can remember. This passion solidified in college as I worked on my Industrial Design degree at Appalachian State. These days, almost 20 years later, I continue to tinker on cars, motorcycles, my 100 year old home, and most recently with my Laser/CNC/3-D Printer.

School Bus RV Rooftop Deck Construction

School Bus RV Rooftop Deck Construction

The square footage of the short bus is not very impressive. I think at one point I calculated the interior to be about 96 square feet so I decided to build a rooftop deck to have a slightly larger footprint. I did some googling before starting on this portion of the...

1989 Chevy School Bus RV Conversion

Take it to 11 Jalapeno IPA

Take it to 11 Jalapeno IPA

Last year we brewed a Jalapeno IPA using a few home grown Jalapenos from the garden. I think we used 2 in the mash and 3 in the secondary fermentation tank. The goal this time around was to make a beer similar to the Habanero Sculpin from Ballast Point. We did just...

15 Gallon Home Brew Rig

My current setup is a hand-me-down from the founder of Terrapin Brewing. It is a 15 gallon converted keg system with a bunch of goodies. I'll try to post better/more photos as I can. For now here is a little gallery of the rig.

Metal Shaving Saison

Metal Shaving Saison

This was our first batch of beer brewed on the new 15 gallon home brew rig. I purchased the system from the former founder of Terrapin Brewing so I feel like it's got some good juju. The beer is a Saison that turned out to be about 11%. It's still in fermentation (Jan...
